IN THE WAKE OF BREXIT,
SITE SPECIFIC INSTALLATION, 2019
Frustrated by the lack of opportunity to show topical, reactionary work in mainstream art spaces my partner (curator Dr. Briony Carlin) and I decided to turn our shared home into a site specific installation. Spread over three floors the exhibition questioned the extent to which Brexit has invaded our most intimate, personal spaces. Throughout the duration of the exhibition, performing daily tasks around the house became artistic performance as I documented life living with and around the burden of Brexit. Following praise including a 8-page feature in the British Journal of Photography and a review by Guardian critic Sean O’Hagan, the exhibition ended when it was raided by the Police on the instruction of the House of Commons
